Annual Leadership Seminar

The Leadership Seminar this year was a great success.  It focused on effective and step by step fundraising that benefits members of the chapter.  Hopefully all the chapters will start implementing this more organized approach to fundraising.

Leaders of People First and self-advocacy groups come together to learn from each other.  

Alta Regional Center's Consumer Advocate, Consumer Advisory Committee and members of its Board of Directors also participate.  The seminar is lead by persons with disabilities from state or national advocacy groups speaking on many important topics :

• Self-assertiveness and speaking up for others
• Service rights & helping people with their IPPs
• People First group development
• Legislative advocacy
