Kristen CarrollKristen Carroll, M.A. CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Kristen has been providing assessment, training and consultation services with a focus on Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC) for nearly 20 years. She has presented at numerous state and national conferences on speech and language development. Kristen was a consultant for a major AAC manufacturer for 8 years, becoming supervisor of the West and Mid-West U.S. region. With Bonnie Mintun, she conducted the needs assessment and created the business plan and program design for CTEC.

 

 

Ceasar SeabronCeasar Seabron
AAC Mentor

Ceasar is a 23-year-old student at Sacramento City College, studying Computer Science. He is a fluent communicator, using his augmentative communication device, and is a strong advocate for others in need of AAC. In 2006 and 2007, Ceasar participated in a two-week summer training workshop through ACES (Augmentative Communication and Empowerment Supports) at Temple University in Philadelphia. In the summer of 2008 he was invited to become a Mentor for ACES, assisting professional instructors in teaching students how to use their communication devices as well as the computer.

 

Bonnie MintunBonnie Mintun, B.A., Special Education Teaching Credentials, A.T. Certificate
Training Coordinator and Family Specialist

Bonnie is an independent researcher and published author on the topics of augmentative communication, school inclusion and family insight on raising a child with disabilities. She is the mother of a young adult who uses AAC for communication. Combining her professional background as an educator with her experience as a parent, Bonnie has been a featured speaker at national conferences on special education, assistive technology and community inclusion. With Kristen Carroll, Bonnie conducted the needs assessment and created the business plan and program design for CTEC.

 

Cathy CliftonKathy Clifton, M.S., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Kathy has been a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in the area of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) for over 17 years. She has experience working with toddlers, school-age children and adults. Kathy has provided AAC evaluations and services in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals and private practice. As well as providing direct intervention for people who use AAC, Kathy has been a clinical supervisor, presenter and consultant to other professionals in the field of AAC.

 

 

Ginger MitchellGinger Mitchell, M.A., CCC-SLP
Speech-Language Pathologist

Ginger has over 18 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist, serving pre-schoolers, school age children and adults with a focus in the areas of autism and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC). Ginger has participated in national and local continuing education learning experiences to maintain her knowledge and skills in the field of AAC and has received the Award for Continuing Education (ACE) from the American Speech and Hearing Association. In addition to working with CTEC, Ginger is also employed as a Speech-Language Pathologist for the Placer County Office of Education.
